Solers Successfully Appraised at CMMI® Level 3
In May 2016, Solers was once again successfully appraised and rated at Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for Development Maturity Level 3. All three of Solers' operating divisions were included in the appraisal. Solers has been rated at Level 3 continuously since 2007. Our 2016 appraisal also included our Solers Certified Process agile methodologies, and demonstrates Solers' significant commitment to excellence in product development and process improvement.
CMMI is a framework of industry best practices for improving the management, development, and maintenance of products and services. CMMI was developed by the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI), a federally funded research and development center. Benefits of using the CMMI include reduced cost and higher productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. CMMI is recognized as the standard of excellence in government and industry, and the U.S Department of Defense (DoD) recognizes CMMI ratings to be predictive of organizational performance.
Solers' rating resulted from a rigorous assessment by the CMMI Institute using the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement. Maturity Level 3 confirms compliance in 18 process areas spanning management, engineering, and support activities.
